Birthday surprises....

So, my birthday is tomorrow.

The answer to the famous question "what do you want for your birthday?" posed from loved ones, always has the same response this year..... the PAIR letter. (Pre-Approval Immigration Review)

That is what we are currently waiting for in the adoption so we can move on to the court phase.
That is LITERALLY all I want for my birthday.

You know what arrived in my mailbox yesterday as an early present from a dear friend?...............

PEAR letters!
Oh.my.word. The timing of it's arrival was impeccable - I was struggling yesterday. With no update on how little miss is doing and the frustration that little miss is still THERE and not HERE. So opening that envelope and seeing it's contents was probably about the weirdest thing anyone could ever witness - and I am SO glad that I was alone.......who knew you could cry really hard and laugh all at the same time? Goodness night. For a person who isn't normally overly emotional? Wowza. That was a first (and hopefully a last!).

I received four PEAR letters in all - three more than requested ;) An abundance! How truly amazing it is. The support that God has provided through others! I continually give thanks for it. For you!!!!

One of my Pear letters contained this tidbit of encouragement which is worth the share.
Romans 5......We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance....strengthens our confident hope of salvation and this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love. When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.....so now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.

Please continue to pray for little miss. Since we haven't gotten an update on her health we are assuming at this point that she is still in the hospital. Also, please be praying for one last document we found out that is needed, for it to come quickly - we would love to get the real PAIR letter soon - although having it by my birthday tomorrow is a bit of a stretch :)
